Carnation Riley Cullom, 79, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, July 9, 2013.

Carnation, a native of New Jersey, was the daughter of the late Morris and Mary Guy Riley.

She was a loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother, and will be missed very much.

Carnation is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phillip S. Cullom, Sr.; her son, Phillip S. Cullom, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids; grandsons, Joshua Cullom, Sr. and Fiance Paula Browder of Roanoke Rapids, and Joey Radford of Texas; great-grandson, Joshua Cullom, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids; her niece, Joann Smith of Roanoke Rapids and her nephew, Ronnie Smith of Bailey.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services chapel with Rev. Fred Carraway officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
